SAM - Speed Alert Mobile - Shire of Augusta/Margaret River - $15,708.00                  

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River wants to promote safe driver behaviour throughout our Shire and a speed alert mobile is seen as an effective tool in doing this. The Shire will deploy the trailer in town centres, accident black spot locations, roadwork projects, school zones and at major community events to encourage all road users to adhere to speed limits and other key messages. Work with RoadWise and Police in joint promotion of public education initiatives and work with the Police in supporting targeted enforcement campaigns. Where arrangements are not made for the use of the trailer in association with any of the above mentioned the Shire will consider all requests from locally based community groups and business/industry and neighbouring Shires for deployment of the SAM and will establish a schedule of use fro the SAM.
