City of Armadale, SAM (Speed Alert Mobile) campaign - $20,000
To increase regional road safety. It's a tool to educate drivers on road safety and encourage them to travel within the posted speed limit. The Speed Trailer will be used around school zones, road works and events and in the community where there are perceived speed issues ont he road network. City of Armadale will develop a program for the placement of the trailer throughout the region that will be combined with the crash car trailer. The large majority of road safety complaints received by the City of Armadale are about the speed of vehicles using local and local distributor roads. Increasing the availability of the raod safety speed dispaly trailer will build the capacity of the city ot address residents concerns about speeding traffic.

Esperance RoadWise committee, Action Plan implementation and refurbishment of the cross/Crash trailer - $17,050.0
The Esperance RoadWise Committee operates as a Committee of Council and receives excellent support from the Shire of Esperance. The committee has stable representation from WAPOL, Transport, SDERA and Health, Shire of Esperance (Officers and Councillors) along with excellent volunteer support through St Johns Ambulance. In addition to the prime committee, there is a pool of volunteers who readily assist at Committee events, including the management and staff of Goldfields Esperance Traffic Management, the Veteran Car Club, St Johns and the Ministers fraternal. The Committee has now developed an action plan for 2010 which outlines the various activities the committee plans to undertake over the next 12 months. This action plan focuses on the four cornerstones of the Towards Zero road safety strategy. This application requests funding for resources that will enhance the activities within the Action Plan. Specifically:  a) vinyl banners, pull-up banners and tear drop banners thatcan be used throughout the year, and in subsequent years for both indoor and outdoor displays.  These resources will complement those contained within the Road Safety Display Trailer which is being trialled in the Goldfields Esperance Region; b) a substantial refurbishment of the current ‘Cross trailer’, using a donated crashed car, and new up to date sign writing; c) resources to enhance the round- about education focus of the committee; d) to continue to promote the Esperance Safe Speed project through the supply of bin stickers.

Kalgoodlie Boulder RoadWise Committee, Support for the Kalgoodlie Boulder RoadWise Committee Activities - $11,780.00
The Kalgoorlie Boulder RoadWise committee is very active,, and receives strong support from the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder. The committee is fortunate to receive good support from the host agencies/departments of committee members.  Agencies/Departments represented on the committee include  Main Roads WA, WA Police Service, Health , Transport, City of Kalgoorlie Boulder, Kalgoorlie Boulder Racing Club, FESA, SDERA and local community members. The Committee has now developed an action plan and calendar of activities for 2010 which focuses on the four cornerstones of the Towards Zero strategy. A copy of this plan is attached. This application requests funding for resources that will enhance the activities within the Action Plan. Specifically a) a collection of vinyl, teardrop and pull up banners that can be used throughout the year, and in subsequent years, for both indoor and outdoor displays.  These resources will complement those contained within the Road Safety Display Trailer which is being trialled in the Goldfields Esperance Region;  b). to modify  the existing Crash Trailer to house a more modern vehicle to increase its relevance  to the target audience c) to provide additional resources to enable the committee to set up displays as required and d) to print local goldfields brochures to highlight moped and motorcycle safety for younger riders.
