Subiaco

The City of Subiaco covers an area of 7.1 square kilometres, has 114 Km of sealed roads, and a population of approximately 15,673 in over 7,927 residential dwellings.

Meeting dates:

The Community Safety Advisory Committee meets on the second Thursday bimonthly.

Committee Membership:

The committee is made up of representatives from City of Subiaco staff and elected members, RoadWise, education, business, Public transport Authority, licensed premises, WA Football Commission, Police and Health Department.

Projects/Issues:

  • Community and Crime Prevention Plan
    The committee is working on a Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan which will include aspects such as a safe physical environment, promoting community awareness and fostering community development. The plan incorporates road safety strategies, working with other stakeholder and forming partnerships.
  • Child car restraints
    The City has been working with the RoadWise Program and the Town of Cambridge to ensure that child car restraints are fitted correctly by running joint child checking stations.
  • Blow 0.00 and win
    The City has also been involved in the Blow 0.00 and Win competition. The competition gives drivers a chance to win a prize, when the driver is breath tested by police and blows 0.00.
