Mundaring
The Shire of Mundaring covers an area of 644 square kilometres, has 596km of sealed roads, 64 Km of unsealed roads and a population of approximately 33,438 in over 14,400 residential dwellings.

The Seen and Heard Programme, funded by the Shire of Mundaring and delivered by Parkerville Children and Youth Care, aims to enhance the well-being of all young people aged 12 to 20 years who reside in the Shire of Mundaring. - The Safe Consumption of Alcohol Project
Safe Consumption of Alcohol Project - The Seen and Heard Programme, funded by the Shire of Mundaring and delivered by Parkerville Children and Youth Care work with the Mundaring Police on projects that encourage young people to “think” before they drink. - Jammin’ To Survive
In March 2007, the Seen and Heard Programme launched the ‘Jamming to Survive’ Project. The ‘Jammin’ To Survive’ project is a series of three gigs that include local young bands, accompanied by a display, interactive activities and information designed to promote the safe consumption of alcohol. This project proposal has been developed as a result of the deaths of three young people in motor vehicle accidents, after leaving licensed premises, in 2005-2006. “Jammin’ for our Lives” is a local solution to help address the issues around the consumption of alcohol by young people in the Shire of Mundaring. - P plater reward scheme
The Shire presents awards to P plate drivers who are 'caught' obeying the road rules while driving.
