Evaluation Reports
All organisations and groups that receive funding for projects through the Community Road Safety Grants Program must complete an evaluation report for the Local Government and Community Road Safety Committee. This report should be submitted within 8 weeks of the completion of the project.
Project evaluations are an important part of the Community Road Safety Grants program in that they allow applicants to determine the impact their project has had on the intended target audience and the overall success of the project in improving road safety.
In recent years the Local Government and Community Road Safety Committee has had concerns about the quality and effectiveness of the evaluations submitted by grant recipients.
To ensure consistency in the assessment of evaluation reports, the grants committee has engaged an external consultant to review all project evaluation reports.
This process also allows the grants committee to assess future applications for similar projects as well as other projects submitted by the same applicant in the future.
Once reviewed, the evaluation reports which have effectively assessed the impact of a project on the local community are uploaded below.
Evaluation projects under $4000 - Completed Evaluations that are of high standard
Evaluation Projects over $4000 - Completed Evaluations that are of high standard
If a project evaluation does not effectively demonstrate the impact of the project on the community, this is taken into consideration and may impact on the allocation of grant funds to similar projects in future.
Project evaluations reports are important in assisting the grants committee to:
- evaluate the Community Road Safety Grants program as a whole;
- measure objectives and results based on the initial funding submission; and
- assist other groups and organisations to deliver road safety projects that are effective.
If you would like to discuss your recent evaluation report please contact Heidi Stewart, Community Road Safety Grants Officer on 9213 2089 or email hstewart@walga.asn.au. If you need any assistance in planning and evaluating future projects please contact your regional road safety officer.
