Community Road Safety Grants Program
The Government of Western Australia through the Road Safety Council has made funds available from the Road Trauma Trust Fund to assist in the development of road safety projects which foster widespread community support and participation throughout the State to prevent road crashes causing serious injury and death. Grants are available for projects that focus on key behaviours or risk factors that are the major contributing factors to road crashes in WA and align to the key classes of initiatives described in Arriving Safely, the WA Road Safety Strategy 2003-2007.
Grants are available on a monthly basis with applications closing on the first Friday of each month and determined on the third Friday of the same month.

Free Community Road Safety Grants Workshops
The Government of Western Australia, through the Road Safety Council, has made funds available from the Road Trauma Trust Fund to assist in the development of road safety projects.
In order to assist road safety stakeholders and community groups to access this funding, the WA Local Government Association’s RoadWise Program is running a series of workshops throughout the State.
These workshops are designed to enhance participants’ capacity to plan, develop, implement and evaluate effective road safety projects suitable for grant funding.
The workshops will include information on the Safe Systems Approach, the WA Road Safety Strategy and the Community Road Safety Project Model as well as a practical session on application writing.
To find out more information, or to register your interest in attending a workshop, please contact your Regional Road Safety Officer or call Heidi Stewart on 9213 2089.
