Regional Profile
The Kimberley region is situated in the very north of the state and incorporates four Local Government areas: Broome, Derby-West Kimberley, Halls Creek and Wyndham-East Kimberley. The region has a population of 35,270 and covers an area of 422,803 sq kms which incorporates 1428kms of sealed and 4615kms unsealed roads.
Major industries in the Kimberley include mining, irrigated agriculture, pearling, tourism and pastoral industries.
